Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Partridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Subat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alex Partridge! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ivan Subat! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Partridge tries to clinch up. Subat looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Subat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Partridge tries to clinch there but Subat circles away.
Partridge pushes Subat up against the ropes in a clinch. Partridge is trying to break the clinch but Subat has him pressed against the ropes. Partridge is trying to break the clinch but Subat has him pressed against the ropes. Partridge wants to break the clinch but can't.
Partridge lands a nice knee to the body. Partridge is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Partridge tries to stall but Subat uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Subat has a couple of punches blocked by Partridge.
Partridge pulls guard effortlessly. Subat is looking to work some ground and pound but Partridge has wrist control. Partridge bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Subat's guard. Partridge won't allow Subat to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Subat keeping moving, preventing Partridge from controlling successfully. Partridge is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Subat is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Partridge drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Partridge jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Subat is trying to control the position but Partridge postures up. Partridge wants to control from the top but Subat keeps moving. Subat working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Partridge doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Partridge manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Partridge is pushing down on Subat's leg trying to pass to half guard. Subat is fighting to maintain full guard but Partridge has managed to sneak the leg through. Subat is refusing to be controlled, as Partridge sits in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Partridge tries to clinch up but Subat circles away and keeps his distance. Partridge tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Subat paws at him with a jab and circles away. Partridge is looking to clinch but Subat is avoiding it.
Partridge moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Subat avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Partridge is looking to clinch. Some bone on bone action there as Partridge checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Partridge circles away from the clinch attempt.
Partridge shoots for a takedown but Subat saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Partridge closes this distance looking for a takedown but Subat circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Partridge. That's going to take a lot out of him. Partridge will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Partridge doesn't manage to clinch there - Subat circles away.
Subat swats away the attempt to clinch by Partridge. Subat walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Subat displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Partridge throws out the jab. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Partridge shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Subat as he avoids it easily. Partridge wants to clinch and Subat counters with a takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Subat dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Partridge lands a nice knee to the body. Partridge jumps guard but Subat stands there with Partridge around his waist. Partridge gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Subat tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Partridge smiles and moves away.

Subat is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Partridge gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Subat counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. Partridge is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Partridge being controlled here, momentarily. Partridge not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Subat stopping the sweep attempt from Partridge. Subat drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Subat jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Partridge is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Subat trying to control but Partridge is working from the bottom. Partridge working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Subat doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Subat manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Partridge manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Subat really wants to buck Partridge off and get back to his feet. Partridge working for a submission but Subat is keeping him at bay. Partridge throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Subat because Partridge loaded up on that one. Subat is in all sorts of trouble here.
Partridge looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Partridge with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Partridge is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Subat can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Subat is looking to get to half guard. Subat defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Partridge. Partridge looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Subat regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Partridge dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Subat blocks a low kick nicely. Partridge throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The fight stays on the outside here - Partridge looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Alex Partridge is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Partridge tries for a takedown but Subat circles away easily and Subat counters with a shoot takedown. Partridge fights it but they end up in guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Partridge has his foot on Subat's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Subat works his way back into a safe position though. Partridge is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Partridge is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Subat slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Subat pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Partridge is keeping the position for now. Partridge is looking for a triangle but Subat pushes his legs off easily.

Ivan Subat has got the better of the ground game so far. Subat is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Subat holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Partridge tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Partridge can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Subat is looking to escape. Subat is looking to improve his position but Partridge isn't that keen on the idea. Partridge fails to advance to Subat's back. Subat tries to control Partridge's head but Partridge pushes him back down and moves quickly to lock up an arm here - he's swung around for an armbar! Will he get it??? Yes! Subat is tapping out! Lovely Jiu Jitsu there!
