The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Skantze Jr looks to land a combination but Morrison avoids it well. Sloppy strikes from Skantze Jr. Those never looked like landing. Skantze Jr fails to land with a series of punches.
Morrison throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Skantze Jr. Morrison misses with a double jab.

Skantze Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morrison circles away quickly and effectively. Skantze Jr throws a right hand that Morrison ducks under and follows up with a left that Morrison also avoids with ease. Skantze Jr throws a right and a left that Morrison avoids nicely. John Skantze Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Morrison looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Morrison rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Skantze Jr moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Skantze Jr scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Morrison walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Morrison limp body while Skantze Jr jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
