Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kyoichi Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Munoz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Munoz is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Champions. On his way into the cage it seems that Kyoichi Sudo has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kyoichi Sudo seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kyoichi Sudo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marc Munoz! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sudo misses with a takedown attempt - Munoz sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Munoz shoots in for a takedown but Sudo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Munoz shoots in but Sudo avoids the takedown attempt easily. Munoz doesn't manage to clinch there - Sudo circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Sudo as Munoz shoots in. Kyoichi Sudo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marc Munoz. Munoz shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sudo as he avoids it easily. Munoz wants to clinch. Munoz tries to close the distance and clinch but Sudo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sudo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Munoz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Sudo is trying to defend but Munoz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Sudo kicks Munoz off and gets back to his feet. Munoz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sudo swivels and escapes. Sudo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Munoz's guard. Sudo is working Munoz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Munoz wants to get back to his feet but Sudo passes into half guard.
Sudo scores with a couple of good hammerfists. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sudo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Sudo is working for a submission of some sort.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sudo in particular looking to stall. Sudo throwing shots but Munoz is blocking nicely. Sudo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Sudo drops an elbow to the side of Munoz's head. Sudo is nestled in close to Munoz, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Sudo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Sudo keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Sudo missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sudo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Munoz's head. Munoz tries to roll over but Sudo keeps him under control. Sudo throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Munoz is trying to stand back up but Sudo is controlling him
Sudo looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Munoz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Sudo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Sudo throwing shots but Munoz is blocking nicely. Sudo throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Munoz to regain full guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Sudo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Sudo scoring with some ground and pound. Sudo postures up in Munoz's guard and throws a big left but Munoz blocks it. Sudo trying to control the position from guard on top but Munoz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sudo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Sudo lands a couple of elbows. Munoz keeping moving, preventing Sudo from controlling successfully. Sudo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sudo seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Munoz for as long as he can get away with. Munoz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kyoichi Sudo dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Sudo looking to score a takedown here. Munoz is defending well but Sudo drives through and ends up in Munoz's guard. Munoz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Sudo controls the pace. Sudo trying to control the position from guard on top but Munoz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sudo is working Munoz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Munoz controls Sudo momentarily but Sudo frees himself. Sudo pushes down on Munoz's leg and manages to get into half guard. Munoz is pressing down on Sudo's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

We're going to have a standup here because Kyoichi Sudo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Munoz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Munoz in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Sudo lands a couple of good shots and Munoz has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Munoz is rocked! Sudo connects with a couple of big shots that have Munoz covering up! Oh, this looks bad for Munoz! Sudo fires away with several more unanswered shots and the referee has no choice but to step in! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
