The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peterson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Moris counters with a takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Moris trying to control the position but Peterson is working away.
Peterson wants to get back to his feet but Moris drags him back down.
Peterson can't do much from the bottom here.

Moris throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Peterson was covering up waiting for the punch and Moris finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Peterson shoots in looking for a takedown. Moris tries to sprawl out of it but Peterson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moris manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Peterson jumps guard and drags Moris to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Moris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Peterson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Moris wants to control from the top but Peterson keeps moving.
Peterson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Peterson tries to get out of the position.

Peterson desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Joe Moris has got the better of the ground game so far.
Moris is taking a breather. Peterson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Moris is working for a kimura but Peterson is defending it quite comfortably.
Moris content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Moris is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Peterson reverses the position - he's now on top in Moris's guard.

and Moris counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Peterson!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
