Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sterling Elliott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Crasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sterling Elliott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Crasher!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elliott tries to close the distance and clinch but Crasher swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Elliott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Crasher fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Crasher tries for a takedown but Elliott sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Crasher shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Elliott's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Crasher tries to free his leg and advance position but Elliott is retaining full guard.
Crasher won't allow Elliott to sweep him here.
Crasher trying to stand up but can't free himself from Elliott's guard.
Elliott is trying to keep Crasher in close.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Elliott escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Crasher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Crasher wants to control from the top but Elliott keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Elliott wants to sweep but no luck.
Elliott trying to keep a closed guard but Crasher is proving a slippery customer.
Crasher wants to stand and escape but instead Elliott has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Elliott trying to control the position from guard on top but Crasher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Crasher is on top in guard.
Crasher wants to stand but Elliott has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Elliott might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Elliott looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Crasher passes into half guard.
Crasher is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Crasher trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Crasher lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Elliott is squirming around, avoiding Crasher's attempts to control the action.
Crasher controlling from mount.
Elliott tries to improve his position but instead Crasher has taken his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Crasher's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crasher might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Elliott haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
You can see the frustration on Elliott's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Elliott is in a bad position with Crasher working for a choke. Elliott manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Crasher scrambles and gets back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Crasher dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Nice takedown defense from Elliott. No joy for Crasher on that attempt.
Sterling Elliott is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Crasher tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Elliott defends well and Crasher ends up having to push Elliott into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Elliott is trying to pull guard but Crasher has him pressed against the cage.
Elliott is looking to take this one to the mat.
Crasher prevents Elliott from breaking the clinch.
Crasher wants to get back to striking at distance but Elliott won't allow it.

Crasher breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Crasher.
Sterling Elliott has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Crasher.
Crasher shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Elliott as he avoids it easily.

Crasher takes the fight into the clinch.

Elliott's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Elliott avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Elliott fails to land the takedown.
Crasher pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Elliott moves out of range as Crasher throws a body kick.
Crasher is breathing heavily.
Crasher shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Elliott defends it nicely.
Crasher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Elliott moves into the clinch.
Elliott wants to take the fight to the mat but Crasher manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Crasher stops a takedown attempt from Elliott.

Crasher has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Elliott is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Elliott wants a takedown.

Crasher jumps guard and drags Elliott to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Crasher is trying to control the position but Elliott postures up.
Elliott prevents Crasher from getting back to his feet.
Elliott has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Johnny Crasher has got the better of the ground game so far.
Elliott looking to sit in guard and control but Crasher gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Crasher won't allow Elliott to sweep him here.

Crasher's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Crasher won't allow Elliott to get back to his feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Johnny Crasher wasn't active enough on the ground.
Crasher closes the distance and clinches up with Elliott, looking for a takedown. Crasher pushes Elliott against the cage but Elliott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Elliott fails with the takedown.
Elliott fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Elliott throws a head kick that misses.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crasher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Elliott paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Crasher instigates a clinch.

Crasher lands a takedown into guard.
Elliott wants to sweep here but Crasher controlling him for the moment.
Elliott is working hard here to advance position.

Elliott is working an open guard so Crasher takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Elliott closes the distance and pushes Crasher back into the cage.
Crasher is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Elliott gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnny Crasher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

and Crasher counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Elliott shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sterling Elliott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crasher dives in for a single leg takedown but Elliott sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Crasher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Crasher has a takedown stuffed.
Elliott goes for a double leg but Crasher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Crasher continues to drive forward.

Crasher successfully pulls guard.
Elliott could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Elliott won't allow Crasher to sweep him here.
Crasher manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Crasher is stalling here but it's allowed Elliott to get half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Crasher wants to stand but Elliott has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Elliott is trying to get back to full guard.
Elliott knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Crasher on the ground.
Crasher looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Crasher passes the guard and advances to mount!
Crasher looking to control but Elliott is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Elliott is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Crasher can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Elliott is looking to escape.
Crasher is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Crasher controlling from mount.
Crasher cracks Elliott with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Crasher looking to control but Elliott is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Elliott is wriggling around trying to escape.
Sterling Elliott has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Johnny Crasher is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Johnny Crasher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Crasher has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
