Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ed Gein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Calzaghe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gein comes into the arena with Dead Skin Mask blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ed Gein! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
29 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Calzaghe! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calzaghe throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Gein tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Calzaghe is in Gein's guard. Calzaghe connects with a couple of short punches. Gein is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Calzaghe trying to control the position from guard on top but Gein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gein manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Calzaghe gets back to half guard. Gein wants to free his trapped foot but Calzaghe is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Calzaghe actively working from the bottom here. Gein wants to take a breather but Calzaghe is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Calzaghe wants to improve his position but Gein is controlling well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gein sitting and controlling from the half guard. Calzaghe looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calzaghe makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Calzaghe. Calzaghe will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Gein slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Gein knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Calzaghe on the ground. Gein throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Calzaghe works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Calzaghe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gein can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gein accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gein postures up in Calzaghe's guard and throws a big left but Calzaghe blocks it. Gein preventing the sweep. Calzaghe striking off his back but it's not causing Gein any problems. Gein trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gein with a flurry of punches that miss. Gein throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Calzaghe keeping full guard, as Gein tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Gein avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Calzaghe looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Calzaghe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gein is one step ahead there. Gein throws a big elbow that misses. Gein has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Calzaghe wants to sweep but no luck. Gein throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Calzaghe works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gein wants to get up but he can't break Calzaghe's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Gein throwing strikes from guard but Calzaghe blocks nicely. Gein is looking to stand up but Calzaghe won't let him. Calzaghe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Calzaghe looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gein trying to control but Calzaghe is working from the bottom. Gein wants to stand and escape but instead Calzaghe has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Gein not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

No luck so far. Gein is working hard here to advance position. Calzaghe is looking to work some ground and pound but Gein has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gein wants to sweep here but Calzaghe controlling him for the moment. Calzaghe trying to control but Gein is working from the bottom. Calzaghe working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gein's head. Calzaghe forces his way into half guard. Calzaghe prevents Gein from improving his position. Calzaghe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gein defending well though. Gein trying to hold on to Calzaghe's head to control him but Calzaghe postures up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gein is looking for a sweep. Calzaghe is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Calzaghe lands strikes from half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Calzaghe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Calzaghe is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Gein avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Calzaghe. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Calzaghe dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
A punch combination from Calzaghe misses. Gein looks for the body kick but Calzaghe saw that one coming. Calzaghe shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gein but Gein pushes him off and we're back to square one. Joe Calzaghe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gein misses the shot to the body. Gein swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Calzaghe. Calzaghe with a lazy takedown attempt and Gein counters by clinching up. Calzaghe drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gein pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ed Gein has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Calzaghe. Calzaghe shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gein counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Calzaghe is lucky that one didn't land flush. We've been told by Gein's head coaches at Manu's Kiwi Beer Barn - PIT Inc. that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Calzaghe tries for a takedown but Gein sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Gein bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Calzaghe's head backwards.
It looks like Joe Calzaghe has been cut. Calzaghe falls off balance throwing a combination
and Gein counters with a nice body kick. Calzaghe is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calzaghe shoots and misses enabling Gein to counter with a crisp jab. Calzaghe misses with a takedown attempt and Gein counters with a stiff right hand.
Calzaghe is rocked! Calzaghe wants to stay close but Gein steps back to make room for something. Calzaghe seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Gein and Calzaghe drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Ed Gein! Ed Gein seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
