Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Daigo Asai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopkins comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cake - I will survive kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Asai is looking to clinch.

Asai throws a hook to the side of Hopkins's head but Hopkins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hopkins moves forwards but Asai connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Asai has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Asai throws a series of punches but Hopkins avoids them all with ease.

It looks like Henry Hopkins has been cut.
Asai lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hopkins's sensitive parts.

Asai walks into a big right hand from Hopkins and goes down! The referee sends Hopkins to a neutral corner as Asai gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.
Oh Asai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fight stays on the outside here - Asai looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We've been informed that Hopkins has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

That was a close second round but I would say that Daigo Asai will probably get the nod.

Asai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Hopkins walks straight into a perfectly timed right hook, crumpling him to the floor! Hopkins is in all kinds of trouble here - can he beat the count? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10 - he's out and it's by a long way too - he didn't ever look like beating that count!
