Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Everheart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabriel Everheart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Christian Diaz! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Everheart which made him look bad. Everheart will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Excellent takedown into side control there by Everheart. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Everheart trying to control the action but Diaz is working from the bottom. Everheart decides to stand back up. Diaz keeps the fight on the outside. Everheart drives through and clinches with Diaz against the cage.
Everheart blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Diaz scores with an uppercut up the middle. Diaz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Everheart would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Everheart thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Everheart postures up.

Diaz thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Everheart works a leg free and moves into half guard. Everheart seems to be working for a kimura but Diaz defends the submission attempt. Everheart is looking for a kimura here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Everheart trying to control from half guard but Diaz is working away. Diaz is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Diaz trying to control but Everheart postures up.
Everheart wants to stand but Diaz has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz tries to roll over but Everheart keeps him under control. Everheart wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Diaz looks like he's trying to stand up.
Everheart is keen to just control but Diaz is a slippery customer. Everheart missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Diaz is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Diaz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Everheart trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Diaz managing to control the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Diaz misses with a takedown attempt - Everheart sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Diaz keeps control of Everheart as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Diaz leaning his opponent against the cage. Everheart lands a takedown into guard.

Everheart won't allow Diaz to sweep him here. Everheart trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diaz working a defensive guard here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Christian Diaz. Everheart is trying hard to land a takedown here. Diaz sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Diaz moves into range and clinches up with Everheart. Diaz tries to break the clinch but Everheart is controlling the position. Diaz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Everheart tries to close the distance and clinch but Diaz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Diaz avoids the head kick by Everheart.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Everheart keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The fight stays on the outside here - Everheart looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz staying out of range there. Everheart gets caught flat footed, as Diaz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz trying to control the position from guard on top but Everheart is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are working up against the cage. Everheart manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Everheart trying to stall but Diaz improves his position.

Everheart is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Diaz pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Everheart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Everheart misses with a shot to the kidneys.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is trying to pull guard but Everheart has him pressed against the cage. Everheart jumps guard but Diaz stands there with Everheart around his waist. Everheart gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Diaz scores with a nice hook to the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Diaz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz wants a takedown but no success here.
Everheart goes for a takedown in the clinch but Diaz prevents it.
Both guys are working to get underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Christian Diaz will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Diaz throws a right and a left that both miss. Diaz stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Diaz wants it to stay on the feet. Everheart throws a head kick but Diaz moves out of range.

Diaz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Everheart misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Everheart leaves Diaz with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Diaz shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Everheart but Everheart pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's one minute gone in the round. Everheart fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabriel Everheart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Everheart throws a series of punches but Diaz avoids them all with ease. Everheart looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Gabriel Everheart is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Diaz goes for a double leg but Everheart avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Everheart continues to drive forward. Diaz decides to pull guard. Diaz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Everheart throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Diaz works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Everheart trying to stand up but can't free himself from Diaz's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz wants to stand but Everheart is controlling the position. Everheart wants to get up but he can't break Diaz's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Diaz doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Diaz controls Everheart momentarily but Everheart frees himself. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Everheart wants to control from the top but Diaz keeps moving.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Everheart misses with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Everheart tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Diaz is in Everheart's guard. Diaz scoring with punches to the head and body. Diaz trying to control but Everheart is working from the bottom. Everheart is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gabriel Everheart. Nice takedown defense from Everheart. No joy for Diaz on that attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Everheart shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Diaz defends it nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Diaz. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Everheart shows good takedown defense. Everheart closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Diaz did well to prevent Everheart getting side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Everheart is trying to control the action in half guard but Diaz is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Everheart decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Gabriel Everheart. I think Everheart has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
