And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Reginald Francis Colon!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Dutch. Francis Colon does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dutch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Dutch goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Dutch looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Dutch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Francis Colon takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Dutch moves in looking to clinch but Francis Colon pushes him off.
Dutch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Francis Colon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dutch sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Dutch stuffs the takedown attempt from Francis Colon. Francis Colon gets slowly back to his feet.
Dutch missing with a left hand there. Francis Colon was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Dutch swings for the body but Francis Colon moves out of range.
Dark Dutch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

so Francis Colon counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Francis Colon postures up in Dutch's guard and throws a big left but Dutch blocks it.
Francis Colon is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Dutch has his hands on Francis Colon's head, controlling the position.
Dutch knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Francis Colon on the ground.

Dutch is not content to let Francis Colon control the position.

Dutch lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Francis Colon circles away quickly and effectively.

Dutch looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Dutch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Francis Colon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Dutch. That one must have hurt.
Francis Colon swings for the body but Dutch moves out of range.
Dutch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Francis Colon.

Francis Colon tries for a takedown but Dutch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Dark Dutch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reginald Francis Colon.

Dutch escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Dutch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Francis Colon fails with a takedown attempt.
Dutch pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Francis Colon throws a body punch but Dutch moves out of range.
Francis Colon throws a shot from downtown. Dutch moves away and avoids it.
Dutch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Francis Colon paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Francis Colon counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Francis Colon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Francis Colon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Francis Colon tries to pass to full mount but Dutch defends it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Francis Colon maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Dutch could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Francis Colon has cracked it and Dutch is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Francis Colon!

Reginald Francis Colon decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
