Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sudo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Watanabe throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sudo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Watanabe is in Sudo's guard.

Watanabe manages to get his head free but now Sudo has transitioned to an armbar! Watanabe grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Sudo! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
