0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sabastiaan De Wit! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Wit bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. De Wit swats away the attempt to clinch by Mejia. De Wit swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A looping hook to the body misses from Mejia. De Wit does a little dance to reset his feet. De Wit uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Mejia. Mejia tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. De Wit manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kurtis Mejia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mejia tries to clinch there but De Wit circles away.

and Mejia counters by moving into the clinch. De Wit is trying to force a seperation but Mejia has the dominant position. Mejia gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mejia performing his best blanket impression for a moment. De Wit tries to get to full guard but Mejia has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. De Wit swats away the attempt to clinch by Mejia. Mejia looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for De Wit! You can see the frustration on De Wit's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sabastiaan De Wit. De Wit misses with an uppercut. Mejia saw that one coming. Mejia takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Sabastiaan De Wit is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. De Wit throws a wild combination but nothing lands. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mejia. Mejia avoids a punch combination nicely.
De Wit throws a right hand that Mejia ducks under and follows up with a left that Mejia also avoids with ease. Mejia throws a head kick that misses.

Mejia closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mejia lands in his opponent's guard. Mejia won't allow De Wit to sweep him here. De Wit keeping moving, preventing Mejia from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mejia working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Kurtis Mejia will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Kurtis Mejia's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

De Wit doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. De Wit manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. De Wit preventing the sweep. De Wit wants to stand but Mejia has a closed guard, so he can't escape. De Wit wants to stand and escape but instead Mejia has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mejia accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. De Wit has his hands on Mejia's head, controlling the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Mejia is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Sabastiaan De Wit has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! De Wit takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
