Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Scottie Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaco Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Both fighters circling a little - Chase finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Almeida gets a double leg takedown into Chase's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chase holds on and takes a little breather.

Chase keeps control of Almeida as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Almeida wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Chase has him pressed against the cage.
Almeida is trying to break the clinch but Chase is controlling him.

Chase moves out of range of the body kick from Almeida.

Chase shoots for a double leg takedown but Almeida sprawls well. He's pushed Chase's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Almeida decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Almeida wants to control but Chase is keeping him busy.

Almeida takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Chase makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Chase.
Almeida tries to free his leg and advance position but Chase is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Almeida wants to control from the top but Chase keeps moving.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Chase closes the distance and pushes Almeida back into the cage.

Chase breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Almeida misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Almeida dives in and grabs Chase's left leg, looking for a takedown. Chase pushes down on Almeida's head and hops out.
Chase fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Almeida avoids it really well and circles away.
Chase lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Chase tries to close the distance and clinch but Almeida swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Almeida throws a big shot that misses.
Almeida tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Chase defends well and Almeida ends up having to push Chase into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Chase tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Almeida just stands there and leans against the cage.
Chase is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Almeida is defending well.

A frustrated look appears on Almeida's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Almeida bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Almeida has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Almeida cracks Chase with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Chase is rocked!

Almeida working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Chase turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Almeida off and cradles Chase's limp body as Almeida celebrates with his corner.
