Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Austin Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Power! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Power shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hunter but Hunter pushes him off and we're back to square one. Power has a takedown stuffed. Power tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hunter swivels and escapes. Austin Hunter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Power. Power throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hunter's waist but Hunter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Power off to one side. Hunter lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Scott Power has been cut. Hunter tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hunter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Power sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hunter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Power defends it nicely. Power fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hunter avoids it really well and circles away. Hunter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Power.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hunter tries to close the distance and clinch but Power swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Power takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Power tries for a takedown but Hunter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hunter. Power dives in and scores a takedown into Hunter's guard. Hunter has a closed guard, preventing Power from standing up. Hunter trying to control the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Power accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunter keeping full guard, as Power tries to pass. Power postures up.
Power throws a big elbow that misses. Hunter trying to control the position.
Austin Hunter has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Power tries for a takedown but Hunter sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Horrible takedown by Power or perhaps it was just good defense by Hunter which made him look bad. A leg kick checked by Power. Hunter wants to clinch up but Power keeps it at a distance. Power shoots in and bounces Hunter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Power looks winded!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power trying to control but Hunter is working from the bottom. Hunter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Power postures up in Hunter's guard and throws a big left but Hunter blocks it. Hunter is striking from the bottom but Power uses the opportunity to pass into half guard. Hunter is looking to control Power's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hunter avoid being mounted? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Power stands up and beckons Hunter to join him on the feet. Hunter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Power shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Power showed some decent athleticism there. Hunter is trying to maintain the position but Power is very close to passing his half guard. Power missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Power controlling the pace. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hunter scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Power manages to mount him!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hunter squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Scott Power will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Scott Power's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Hunter shoots in looking for a takedown but Power manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hunter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hunter fails to land the takedown. Hunter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Power counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hunter! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Austin Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Power tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Power controls the position. Power advances to mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Power looking for a guillotine from mount but Hunter is having none of it. Hunter is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Power looking to secure an arm triangle but Hunter defends it well. Hunter is desperately trying to improve his position but Power has a good base and remains in mount. Hunter sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Scott Power has got the better of the ground game so far. Power trying to control from half guard but Hunter is working away. Hunter is looking to escape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Power perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hunter has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Power is working away from the top position though. Hunter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Power content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Austin Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No luck with that takedown attempt from Hunter. Hunter throws a head kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power with a lazy takedown attempt and Hunter makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Hunter tries to clinch but Power moves out of range. Power drives through with a takedown into Hunter's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Power stands and throws Hunter's legs to the side, diving into side control. Power thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Power wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunter keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunter is looking to regain half guard here but Power keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Power has just dragged him back down to the mat. Power working the head with strikes. Power cracks Hunter with a big elbow. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Power is trying to get an arm triangle but Hunter is defending well. Power advances to mount. Power wants to finish this one by submission but Hunter is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Power. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Power is standing up, even though he is in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scott Power showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Scott Power's cut. That's time! Hunter's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Hunter stuffs the takedown attempt from Power. Power gets slowly back to his feet. Hunter throws a lazy head kick and Power counters with a good low kick that Hunter was not able to check. Hunter looks to clinch and Power counters with a shoot takedown. Hunter fights it but they end up in guard. Power stands up and waves to Hunter to follow him. Power defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hunter. Sloppy strikes from Hunter. Those never looked like landing. Hunter lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Power fails with a takedown attempt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Power closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Power lands in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter wants to sweep here but Power controlling him for the moment. Hunter wants to stand but Power is controlling the position. Power trying to control the position from guard on top but Hunter is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Power decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Hunter tries for a takedown but Power circles away easily and Power counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Power.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Power is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hunter is trying to keep Power in close.
Power stands and throws Hunter's legs to the side, diving into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Hunter can't do much from the bottom here. Power trying to control the action but Hunter is working from the bottom. Power is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hunter has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Power taking a breather here. Power is chipping away with strikes.
Hunter is looking to regain half guard here but Power keeps moving and retains side control. Hunter is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Power's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Power prevents Hunter from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Power wants to free his trapped foot but Hunter is holding on for dear life with his legs. Hunter is not content to let Power control the position. Power is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hunter defends it well. Power trying to pass the guard but Hunter defending well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hunter tries to roll over but Power keeps him under control.
And that's the end of the fight! Scott Power comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Power winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
