Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Redban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redban comes into a darkened arena with his song building. M83 - Midnight City kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Brian Redban has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Gordon Freeman's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gordon Freeman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brian Redban!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Steven Brown and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redban takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've been hearing reports that Freeman has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Redban cracks Freeman with an open hand slap.
Freeman misses with a hook to the body
and Redban counters with an inside leg kick.

Freeman takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Redban throws a shot from downtown. Freeman moves away and avoids it.

Redban has his foot on Freeman's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Freeman works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Gordon Freeman will probably get the nod.

Redban pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Freeman back to the cage. Redban follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Freeman moves out of range as Redban strikes.
Redban swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Redban takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Freeman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Redban tries to avoid it but Freeman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Redban to the ground. Redban escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Freeman does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gordon Freeman will probably get the nod.
