Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Hollis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gomi comes to the cage accompanied by Scary. Hollis has chosen UGK - Pocket Full of Stones as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 6 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Takanori Gomi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
28 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Hollis!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi throws the left hand but Hollis avoids the punch easily.
Hollis slaps away a takedown attempt from Gomi, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Gomi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Millions Top Team in the buildup to the fight.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hollis, as that shot connected.
Gomi lands with a cross.
Hollis throws a head kick that half lands.
Hollis misses with a body kick.
Gomi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hollis throws a sloppy head kick and Gomi moves out of range easily.
Hollis finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Hollis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gomi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hollis.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gomi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hollis.
Hollis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hollis fails to land with a series of punches.
Gomi throws a right hand that Hollis ducks under and follows up with a left that Hollis also avoids with ease.
Hollis staying out of range there.
Hollis throws a nice head kick!
Hollis misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gomi lands with a nice combination. Hollis backs away looking to recover.
Gomi smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Hollis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gomi.
The fighters circle, before Hollis throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Gomi's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Hollis lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Joe Hollis!
