Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bj Penn!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn throws a hook to the side of Nickels's head but Nickels sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Penn scores with a hook to the body. Nickels takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Penn slips a straight right by Nickels.
Nickels pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Penn lands with a nice body punch.
Mike Nickels seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Penn takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Bj Penn has been cut.
Nickels slips under a jab from Penn.
Penn connects with a body shot that sends Nickels's belly button to the back.
Penn takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Nickels drops Penn with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Penn looks back up at him and smiles so Nickels waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Penn is rocked!
Nickels ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Penn is still on wobbly legs! Can Nickels finish him?
Penn looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Penn drops his hands momentarily. Nickels doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Penn staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Penn doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
