Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anthony Miles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dick Roman! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Miles trying to remain calm as Roman controls from the top position. Miles might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Miles tries to get back to half guard but can't. Miles wants to get back to his feet but Roman drags him back down. Sloppy strikes there by Roman. Roman in side control, just content to control the action for now. Miles is looking for a sweep. Roman wants to control but Miles is keeping him busy. You can see the frustration on Miles's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roman trying to control the action but Miles is working from the bottom. Miles is looking to regain half guard here but Roman keeps moving and retains side control. Miles is working hard here to advance position. Miles can't do much from the bottom here. Miles trying his best to control but Roman has mounted him. Roman unloading with bombs! Miles is bucking up trying to escape but Roman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roman goes for an armbar but Miles turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Miles. Roman utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Roman being controlled here, momentarily. Roman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Miles trying to control but Roman is working from the bottom. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Miles preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Miles fails in his attempt to clinch. Roman dives in and scores a takedown into Miles's guard. Miles looking for a sweep. Not yet Miles, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Roman scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Roman postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Miles is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Roman, into his guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Roman can do anything to dispel that myth. Miles tries to free his leg and advance position but Roman is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miles controlling from the top position. Roman looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miles is one step ahead there. Roman is pulling down on Miles's head. It's preventing any offense from Miles, at least for the moment. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Miles stands and steps away. Roman gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dick Roman dominated that round. That's time! Miles's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Miles shoots in for a takedown but Roman shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Miles connects with a right hand. Roman shakes it off. Roman fails with a takedown attempt from distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Roman looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Anthony Miles is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Roman checks the leg kick nicely there.
Miles fails with a takedown attempt. Miles shoots for a takedown but Roman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Miles. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miles pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miles tries to close the distance and clinch up but Roman swats him away and circles back towards the center. Miles misses with a few strikes there.
Horrible takedown by Roman or perhaps it was just good defense by Miles which made him look bad. Roman gets a takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles wants to improve his position but Roman is controlling well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Roman is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Miles sees it coming and defends easily. Roman lands strikes from half guard. Miles trying to control but Roman postures up.
Miles tries to roll over but Roman keeps him under control. Miles blocking the ground and pound attempt from Roman.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miles has one foot on Roman's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Miles misses with a series of wild punches.
Roman shoots in looking for a takedown. Miles tries to sprawl out of it but Roman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Miles manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Miles keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Miles shoots for a takedown but Roman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A punch combination from Miles misses. Miles throws a head kick but Roman moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miles stuffs the takedown. Roman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miles as he avoids it easily. Roman throws a series of punches but Miles avoids them all with ease. Roman defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Miles. Miles shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Roman but Roman pushes him off and we're back to square one. Roman moves into range and clinches up with Miles. Roman gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Roman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Miles trying to control from the bottom.
Roman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Miles tries to get to full guard but Roman has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roman wants to control but Miles is keeping him busy. Roman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roman tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Roman content to control rather than advance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Roman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dick Roman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Roman throws a right hand that Miles ducks under and follows up with a left that Miles also avoids with ease. Roman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Miles tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Roman is in Miles's guard. Roman controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Roman preventing the sweep. Roman trying to control the position from guard on top but Miles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Roman postures up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Miles pulls Roman in close to prevent any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Anthony Miles wasn't doing enough on the ground. A slow jab from Miles misses its intended target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miles darts in and clinches Roman up against the cage. Miles is trying to break the clinch but Roman is controlling him. Roman is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Miles is defending well. Roman turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Roman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Roman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Miles has escaped the position, nice work there. Roman grinds an elbow into Miles's temple. Roman tries to advance to mount but Miles denies him. Roman is trying to get an arm triangle but Miles is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miles is trying to get back to half guard. Miles gets back to half guard. Miles trying to control from the bottom.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roman working over Miles with some ground and pound. Miles looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Miles keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Roman is keen to just control but Miles is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roman throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Roman is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Miles is looking to improve his position.
Roman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Miles taking some punishment here, with Roman in his half guard. Roman wants to control but Miles is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roman stops Miles from getting back to his feet.

Roman works to advance to full mount. Miles defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Dick Roman has got the better of the ground game so far. Roman controlling the pace for now. Roman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Miles can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Roman wants to control the pace but Miles is squirming around nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! Dick Roman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Roman winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
