Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Guillermo Penderas!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tristan Hartin!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penderas throws a hook to the side of Hartin's head but Hartin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hartin closes the distance and clinches.
Hartin with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Penderas wants to break free but Hartin has control.
Hartin using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Penderas has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Penderas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Penderas lands a jab to the nose.
Hartin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hartin ducks under a wild hook from Penderas.
Hartin slips a jab and a cross from Penderas.
Hartin moves in looking to clinch but Penderas pushes him off.
Hartin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Penderas counters with a nice uppercut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hartin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Penderas counters with a big right hand! Oh Hartin is in trouble here! Penderas follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Guillermo Penderas!
