Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Wil Hardison! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Johny Hendricks! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hardison gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hendricks. Hardison tries to clinch up. Sloppy strikes from Hendricks. Those never looked like landing. Hendricks scores with a nice head shot. Hendricks throws a hook to the side of Hardison's head but Hardison sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Hendricks is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hendricks drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hendricks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. It looks like Hendricks might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Hardison looking for a guillotine here but Hendricks defends easily.
Hendricks is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Johny Hendricks has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hardison misses with a wild combination.
Hardison is looking to clinch but Hendricks is avoiding it.
Hardison takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Hendricks misses with a two punch combination.
A slow jab from Hendricks misses its intended target. Hendricks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hardison sees it coming and avoids it easily. A jab from Hendricks misses. Hardison shoots in but Hendricks avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hardison tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hendricks paws at him with a jab and circles away. Hardison throws out a powerful jab.
Hendricks is rocked! Hardison tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hendricks manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Hendricks is still on wobbly legs! Can Hardison finish him? Hendricks misses with a hook. Hardison fakes the body blow, causing Hendricks to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Hendricks goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Wil Hardison!
