Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jon Jones told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carter Yang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jon Jones! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yang throws a lazy head kick and Jones counters with a head kick. Yang closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Yang just stands there and leans against the cage. Yang ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Yang no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jones accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yang tries to land a sweep but no joy. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Yang working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Jones. Yang knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. Yang controlling the position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jones is stalling in the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jon Jones was stalling too much, according to the referee. The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Yang circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Yang, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Yang against the cage but Yang circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Yang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. Carter Yang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones. Jones looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Yang blocking the ground and pound attempt from Jones. Jones stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Yang stuffs the takedown attempt from Jones. Jones gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yang shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jones as he avoids it easily. Jones dives in for a single leg takedown but Yang sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Yang wants to get back to striking at distance but Jones won't allow it.
Yang pulls guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yang utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Jones preventing the sweep. Jones wants to control from the top but Yang keeps moving. Yang is looking to stand up but Jones isn't so interested in that idea. Jones controlling from the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yang pulls Jones in close to prevent any damage.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jon Jones hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Yang keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones looks winded! Jones fails to land the takedown. Yang really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Yang displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jones. Yang throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Yang looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A lazy left from Yang finds it's target. Jones stuffs the takedown. Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yang swivels and escapes. Yang closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Yang tries to clinch there but Jones circles away.
Nice sprawl there from Yang as Jones shoots in. Yang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Yang on that attempt. Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Yang which made him look bad. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Jones dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones is trying to pull guard but Yang has him pressed against the cage. Jones breaks the clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jones keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Jones checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Jones shoots in and gets a takedown into Yang's guard. Jones trying to control the position from guard on top but Yang is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yang will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yang wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him. Yang looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jones is one step ahead there. Jones wants to control from the top but Yang keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Yang has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Jones is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Jones is breathing heavily. Yang is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jones pulls him back up using the underhooks. Jones stalling in the clinch but Yang improves position. Jones jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Yang walks away with a smile on his face. Jones gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yang shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Yang gets slowly back to his feet. Carter Yang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Yang keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Carter Yang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Jones. Yang digs a good body shot into Jones's ribs. Yang avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Jon Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. Yang shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely. Jones dives in and grabs Yang's left leg, looking for a takedown. Yang pushes down on Jones's head and hops out. Yang has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Yang pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Yang clinches up with Jones and pushes him back against the cage. Jones taking a breather. Jones has Yang pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Yang manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Yang is stalling here.
Yang pushes Jones back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Yang wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to take the fight to the mat but Yang manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Yang is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Yang drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jones has had enough of the clinch but Yang keeps him there for the moment. Yang jumps guard but Jones turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Yang as Jones tries to tie him up. Yang's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones looking for a takedown. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Carter Yang will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Yang tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard. Yang has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Yang gets back to full guard.
Jones throws an elbow that misses. Yang uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Yang! Jones can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Yang controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones looking to control.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jones holds on and takes a little breather. Yang would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jones is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yang preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Yang shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Yang's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Yang misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The fight moves into the clinch position. Yang trying to control the position but instead, Jones has worked for underhooks and has pushed Yang into the cage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Yang is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Jon Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Jones has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
