Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chase Blevins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Muay Thai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Chase Blevins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Muay Thai!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blevins keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Horrible takedown by Thai or perhaps it was just good defense by Blevins which made him look bad.
Thai changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Blevins tries to avoid it but Thai manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Blevins to the ground. Blevins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Chase Blevins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muay Thai.
Thai leaves Blevins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Blevins closes the distance and pushes Thai back into the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Thai creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Blevins jumps guard but Thai stands there with Blevins around his waist. Blevins gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Thai is pressed up against the cage. Blevins has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thai down to the mat. Thai avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Blevins counters by moving into the clinch.
Thai is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blevins gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Thai breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Thai rushes Blevins and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Blevins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The referee calls for Thai to work.
Thai wants a takedown but no success here.

Thai manages to break the clinch.

Blevins shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Thai defends it nicely.
Thai misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Thai is trying hard to land a takedown here. Blevins sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Blevins throws a nice looking combination but Thai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Blevins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thai as he avoids it easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blevins is defended easily by Thai.
That kick from Thai tenderised Blevins's leg. Blevins is trying to keep his angry face on.

Thai shoots for a double leg takedown but Blevins sprawls well. He's pushed Thai's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Thai instigates a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blevins wants to get back to striking at distance but Thai won't allow it.
Blevins wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Muay Thai will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Blevins shoots in and drives through. Thai sprawls well.
Blevins looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Thai is fending him off so far but Blevins persists. Nope, Thai circles away and we're back to standing.
Thai is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Blevins takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Thai seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Blevins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thai's waist but Thai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blevins off to one side.

Muay Thai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Thai closes the distance and clinches up with Blevins, looking for a takedown. Thai pushes Blevins against the cage but Blevins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Thai jumps guard and drags Blevins to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Blevins trying to control the position from guard on top but Thai is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Blevins postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Thai manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blevins manages to get himself to full guard.

Blevins is looking for a triangle here but Thai uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Blevins can't do much from the bottom here.

Thai throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blevins is looking to reverse the position.
Thai is staying tight to Blevins's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Thai creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Blevins sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Thai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blevins keeps working.

Thai thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Blevins is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Thai decides to stand back up.
Thai fails with a takedown attempt.
Chase Blevins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Muay Thai.
Blevins throws a lazy head kick
and Thai counters with a head kick. That will keep Blevins thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Thai shoots in for a takedown but Blevins shows good takedown defense.
Thai pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Blevins throws a sloppy head kick and Thai moves out of range easily.

Blevins looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Blevins has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Thai is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Thai jumps guard but Blevins stands there with Thai around his waist. Thai gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Thai manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Thai can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blevins controls the pace.
Thai wants to sweep but no luck.
Blevins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Muay Thai comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Thai has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
