O Brien walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
O Brien is looking to clinch but Gomi is avoiding it.

O Brien doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gomi throws a hook but O Brien blocks it.
Gomi leaves O Brien with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Gomi looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! O Brien has picked Gomi up and slammed him! Gomi can't keep hold of the triangle and O Brien manages to pass to side control!

O Brien tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gomi was well out of range. Poor timing from O Brien .
Gomi throws a lazy right hand but O Brien sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gomi lands a nice looking body shot.
Gomi bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of O Brien 's head.

and Gomi counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Donnie O Brien . That's going to take a lot out of him.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
