Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Javier Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Brunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez's entrance music is Boy Dance Party- Bruce Willis SNL. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Javier Ramirez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Brunner!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Brunner changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ramirez looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Brunner postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Brunner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brunner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well, if Brunner is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Brunner thows a huge punch but Ramirez dodges it nicely.

Ramirez has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Brunner is on him like a limpet, forcing Ramirez back against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
