Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mochi Takeru (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mochi Takeru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Devon Santos!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos throws a hook but Takeru blocks it.
Takeru throws a hook to the side of Santos's head but Santos sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Santos keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Takeru.
Santos scores with a body shot.
Santos lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Santos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Takeru's head backwards.


It looks like Mochi Takeru has been cut.
Santos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Santos connects with a crisp jab.
Santos looks to land a right hand but Takeru moved out of range.
Santos looks to land a left hand but Takeru moved out of range nicely.
Takeru throws out a loose jab but Santos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Santos swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Takeru tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Santos's elbow.

Santos gets through Takeru's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Santos lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Takeru or not.
Santos lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Takeru is trying to push Santos away but Santos has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Takeru smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Devon Santos has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Santos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A punch lands to the side of Takeru 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Santos throws a shot from downtown. Takeru moves away and avoids it.
Santos lands with an overhand left.
Takeru takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Santos scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Takeru looks to throw the jab but Santos is out of range.
Takeru takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Santos throws a lazy right hand but Takeru sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Santos moves into range and connects with a jab.
Santos tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takeru was well out of range. Poor timing from Santos.

Santos gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Santos thuds a left hand into Takeru's body.
Takeru throws a nice looking combination but Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Santos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Santos slips under a jab.
Santos is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Takeru had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Santos rushes Takeru and presses him up against the cage.
Takeru tries to work over Santos's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Santos blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Takeru misses with some punches.
Takeru fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Takeru throws a punch but it's blocked by Santos.
Santos is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Takeru is defending well for now.
Santos lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Takeru lands a right hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Santos creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Santos lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Takeru backwards.
Santos gets through Takeru's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Santos lands a shoulder strike.

Santos lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Santos escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Takeru swings wildly with an uppercut but Santos uses good head movement to avoid it.

Takeru lands a right hand that snaps the head of Santos backwards.
Santos lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Takeru backwards.
Takeru goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Takeru swings wildly with an uppercut but Santos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Takeru misses with a hook from the clinch.

Santos manages to break the clinch.

Santos slips a jab from Takeru.
Takeru loads up on a big right hand but Santos slips the punch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Santos digs a good hook to Takeru's body.
Takeru has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Takeru there as he acknowledges the shot.
Takeru closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Santos shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Takeru works the jab nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Devon Santos dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Santos lands a nice hook to Takeru's body. Takeru takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Takeru waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Santos. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Santos to the canvas! Can he finish him!?


Santos is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Takeru works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Santos is still in real trouble! Can Takeru finish him?

Takeru has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Santos defend it? Takeru steps over the head and cranks it - Santos is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Takeru!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Mochi Takeru!
Mochi Takeru decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
