The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcdonald wants to clinch but Turner slips to the side
and Turner counters with a three punch combo that has Mcdonald backing up. Mcdonald nods at Turner to acknowledge the strikes.

Turner closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Turner is looking to break free of the clinch but Mcdonald has double underhooks.
Mcdonald tries to score a body lock takedown but Turner shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Turner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Mcdonald ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mcdonald no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Mcdonald has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Turner doesn't defend quickly enough and Mcdonald has managed to lock this one up! Can Turner escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Mcdonald on a fantastic submission victory.

In his post fight interview, Leighton Mcdonald started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
