Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Richard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Bridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Richard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sammy Bridge! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richard gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bridge misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bridge tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Richard smiles and moves away.
Bridge closes the distance and clinches up with Richard, looking for a takedown. Bridge pushes Richard against the cage but Richard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bridge shoots for a takedown but Richard saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Jon Richard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sammy Bridge. Richard scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Richard tries to advance to mount but can't. Bridge manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Richard keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Bridge not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Richard wants to control but Bridge is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richard is looking to improve his position.
Richard is refusing to be controlled, as Bridge sits in half guard. Bridge seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Richard tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Bridge has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Bridge in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Richard is squirming around, avoiding Bridge's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bridge lands a nice shot to the head. Richard tries to lock up and control but Bridge gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Bridge has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Bridge swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sammy Bridge!
