Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeffry McWild!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Caiaphas Caine!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McWild buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McWild looks to score with a jab to the body but Caine is just out of range.
McWild fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Caine lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Caine throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
McWild definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

McWild scoring well with a low kick there.
Caine avoids the head kick by McWild.
Caine throws the kick towards the body but McWild avoids it.
McWild throws a right and a left that Caine avoids nicely.
McWild attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

A chopping leg kick lands by Caine.
Caine scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with McWild in particular looking to stall.

McWild is nestled in close to Caine, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Caine is staying active underneath McWild, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Jeffry McWild wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

McWild throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McWild walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
McWild connects with a body shot that sends Caine's belly button to the back.
McWild throws a predictable looking body shot

and Caine counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Caine postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! McWild is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Caine, into his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McWild is looking to work some ground and pound but Caine has wrist control.

McWild trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Caine is pulling down on McWild's head to control his posture.
Caine is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McWild lands a nice looking kick to the body. Caine takes a step back to recover.
McWild is looking to wear down Caine with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Caine throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Caine fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Caiaphas Caine seems to be getting the better of the standup.
McWild throws a leg kick that is checked

and Caine decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McWild's guard.

Caine is looking to pass into half guard but McWild pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now McWild is in guard.
McWild has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McWild looking to sit in guard and control but Caine gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Caine drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McWild dives on top into guard.
McWild throws an elbow that misses. Caine uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McWild's guard. Nice move by Caine!
McWild wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Caine drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but McWild manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Caine has McWild in his guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jeffry McWild just wasn't active enough.
McWild lands with a hook. Caine tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
McWild swings for the body but Caine moves out of range.
McWild throws a low kick but Caine avoids it.

A looping hook to the body misses from McWild. Caine does a little dance to reset his feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McWild.
Caine just misses with a punch to the body.
Caine connects with a solid leg kick.
McWild throws the kick towards the body but Caine avoids it.
Jeffry McWild seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caine comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Caine avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Caine throws a hook to the side of McWild's head but McWild sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
McWild misses with the combination.
McWild lands a nice looking kick to the body. Caine takes a step back to recover.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

McWild goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Caine rolls with the submission and now he's on top in McWild's guard! Nice work there by Caine!
Caine postures up in McWild's guard and throws a big left but McWild blocks it.

McWild is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
McWild lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Caine!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
