Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Nim! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Sanchez! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nim gets caught napping as Sanchez dives in and scores a takedown. Nim manages to retain guard. Sanchez looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Sanchez throwing strikes but missing. Nim is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Sanchez dives into side control.
Nim is trying to improve his position. Sanchez wants to stand but Nim is controlling his arm. Nim tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sanchez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Sanchez controls the position from side control. Sanchez advances to full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez controlling from mount. Nim is trying desperately to improve position. Nim wants to hold on but Sanchez pushes him away. Nim is looking to improve his position but Sanchez isn't that keen on the idea. Sanchez avoids the attempt from Nim to control. Nim is desperately trying to improve his position but Sanchez has a good base and remains in mount.

Nim tries to lock up and control but Sanchez gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nim really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Sanchez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nim sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Nim looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Nim trying to control but Sanchez postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tony Sanchez. A kick lands to the mid section there for Nim. A head kick misses from Nim. Nim lands a left and a right that send Sanchez crashing to the mat, dazed. Nim thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Sanchez is rocked!
It looks like Tony Sanchez has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Nim gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Nim!
