Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ion Standfaff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Phalcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ion Standfaff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Phalcon!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phalcon takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Standfaff looks to score with a jab to the body but Phalcon is just out of range.
Phalcon pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Phalcon slips under a jab.
Standfaff tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Phalcon paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Phalcon gets a double leg takedown into Standfaff's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Standfaff looking to control but Phalcon passes into half guard.
Phalcon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Standfaff is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Standfaff trying to control here.
Standfaff tries to get to full guard but Phalcon has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Phalcon tries to stand and escape but Standfaff is controlling the position.
Standfaff is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Phalcon scores with a couple of nice shots.
Standfaff tries to get to full guard but Phalcon has control of the leg.
Standfaff trying to control from the bottom.
Standfaff is looking to improve his position.
Well, if Phalcon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Phalcon rushes Standfaff and presses him up against the cage.

Phalcon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Phalcon is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Phalcon shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Phalcon is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Standfaff has managed to free his arm - good work.

Phalcon is looking for a kimura but Standfaff is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Phalcon to get the leverage.
Standfaff looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Standfaff wants to get back to full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
It looks like Phalcon is going to stand back up.
Standfaff moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Standfaff looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Standfaff is trying to control the position but Phalcon postures up.

Standfaff looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Phalcon controlling from the top position.
Phalcon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Standfaff is keeping the position for now.

Phalcon working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Phalcon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Phalcon wasn't active enough on the ground.
Phalcon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Standfaff moves in looking to clinch but Phalcon pushes him off.
Standfaff tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Phalcon counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Phalcon tries to pull guard but Standfaff won't allow it.
Phalcon looking for a takedown.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Phalcon dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Standfaff tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Phalcon manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Phalcon connects with a high kick.
Phalcon misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Phalcon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Standfaff is fending him off so far but Phalcon persists. Nope, Standfaff circles away and we're back to standing.

Standfaff dives in and scores a takedown into Phalcon's guard.
Standfaff works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Standfaff is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Phalcon has managed to free his arm - good work.
Phalcon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Phalcon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Standfaff wants to control from the top but Phalcon keeps moving.

Standfaff slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Standfaff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Phalcon keeps working.
Phalcon tries to bench press Standfaff off him but Standfaff keeps the position.
Phalcon is not content to let Standfaff control the position.

Standfaff looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Ion Standfaff overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Standfaff misses with the ground and pound.

Standfaff tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Phalcon is pushing Standfaff's head away, looking to escape. Standfaff manages to hold on to the position though.

Standfaff is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Phalcon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Phalcon wants to get back to his feet but Standfaff drags him back down.

Standfaff wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Phalcon, who protects the arm well.

Phalcon manages to get back to half guard.
Phalcon is holding on to half guard well.
Standfaff seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Standfaff trying to pass the guard but Phalcon defending well.
Phalcon slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Standfaff drops back, looking for a kneebar! Phalcon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Phalcon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Phalcon!
Standfaff is looking to regain half guard here but Phalcon keeps moving and retains side control.
Phalcon has knee on belly momentarily but Standfaff bucks him off and regains half guard.
Standfaff is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Phalcon trying to pass the guard but Standfaff defending well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Standfaff is on top in guard.
Phalcon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Phalcon has his foot on Standfaff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Standfaff works his way back into a safe position though.

Standfaff looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Phalcon has his hands clasped together around Standfaff's back. He's all about the action.

Phalcon wants to get back to his feet.

Standfaff is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Phalcon works his way to full guard. Good work.
Phalcon seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Standfaff pushes down on Phalcon's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Phalcon is not content to let Standfaff control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Standfaff is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Phalcon is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Phalcon wants to improve his position but Standfaff is controlling well.
Phalcon gets back to full guard.
Phalcon keeping moving, preventing Standfaff from controlling successfully.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Standfaff throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Phalcon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Phalcon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Standfaff can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Phalcon wants to stand up but Standfaff is controlling him.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Mark Phalcon.
I think Phalcon has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
