Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Per Jonnsin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miasu Tonkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Per Jonnsin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miasu Tonkov! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jonnsin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Jonnsin wants to clinch up but Tonkov keeps it at a distance. Jonnsin tries for a takedown but Tonkov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jonnsin has Tonkov up against the cage in a clinch.
Tonkov prevents a body shot from Jonnsin. Tonkov keeps control of Jonnsin as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Jonnsin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Tonkov clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Jonnsin really is a fat lump. Tonkov rolls, trying to escape but Jonnsin keeps control of the position.
Tonkov is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jonnsin.
Will Jonnsin go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
That's one minute gone in the round. Jonnsin scores with punches and elbows. Tonkov rolls, trying to escape but Jonnsin keeps control of the position.
Tonkov looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Tonkov is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. Jonnsin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Tonkov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Tonkov ducks under a wild hook from Jonnsin. Tonkov walks into a left hand. Jonnsin tries for a takedown but Tonkov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Jonnsin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tonkov keeping moving, preventing Jonnsin from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jonnsin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Tonkov is proving hard to escape from. Jonnsin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tonkov is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tonkov has escaped and now he's on top! Tonkov pushing down on Jonnsin's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Jonnsin wants to control but Tonkov is keeping busy.
Tonkov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Tonkov is looking for a kimura but Jonnsin is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tonkov to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jonnsin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Tonkov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Jonnsin is looking to control Tonkov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jonnsin avoid being mounted? We've been informed that Tonkov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Tonkov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Tonkov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Tonkov with the ground and pound from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tonkov raining down hammerfists from mount. Jonnsin is desperately trying to improve his position but Tonkov has a good base and remains in mount. Tonkov controlling the pace for now. Jonnsin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tonkov on the ground. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jonnsin tries to hold on but Tonkov pushes him away. Tonkov working away from the top, dropping strikes. Jonnsin is squirming around, avoiding Tonkov's attempts to control the action. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tonkov content just to control the position here. Tonkov cracks Jonnsin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Miasu Tonkov will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jonnsin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tonkov. Tonkov stuffs the takedown. Jonnsin shoots for a takedown but Tonkov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Per Jonnsin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jonnsin wants to clinch. Jonnsin with a poor takedown and Tonkov counters with a straight punch to the midsection. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Per Jonnsin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tonkov tries to sprawl but Jonnsin drives through with a takedown into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tonkov can do anything to dispel that myth. Tonkov is staying active underneath Jonnsin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Tonkov gets full guard. Jonnsin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Tonkov is looking for a triangle here but Jonnsin uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Tonkov is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jonnsin swings around for an armbar but Tonkov sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Jonnsin's guard. Tonkov postures up and lands a big shot to Jonnsin's brow. Jonnsin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tonkov is one step ahead there. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tonkov's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Tonkov landing with the ground and pound. Tonkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Jonnsin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tonkov with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tonkov drops back looking for a leg! Jonnsin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jonnsin manages to kick Tonkov off! Tonkov jumps back into Jonnsin's guard. Tonkov showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Tonkov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Tonkov trying to control the position from guard on top but Jonnsin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tonkov has gone for a leg lock! Jonnsin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tonkov's guard. Tonkov wants to get back to his feet but Jonnsin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tonkov keeping moving, preventing Jonnsin from controlling successfully. Tonkov will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Jonnsin stops Tonkov from standing up. Tonkov wants to sweep but no luck. Tonkov wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Jonnsin advances to half guard. Tonkov is trying to stand back up but Jonnsin is controlling him
Tonkov is not content to let Jonnsin control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jonnsin is looking to advance position but Tonkov won't allow it. Tonkov flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Tonkov pushes Jonnsin off looking to stand but Jonnsin dives back in and keeps control.
Miasu Tonkov has got the better of the ground game so far. Tonkov wants to control but Jonnsin is keeping busy and won't allow it. Jonnsin wants to stand up but Tonkov has a hold of him and won't allow it. Jonnsin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tonkov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tonkov keeps control of the position for the meantime.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Per Jonnsin. Jonnsin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tonkov defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miasu Tonkov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Jonnsin has managed to clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Jonnsin's face as he tries to break the clinch. Tonkov gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Still in half guard, Tonkov seems content to control. Tonkov is looking to advance position but Jonnsin won't allow it. Tonkov performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Jonnsin scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Tonkov manages to mount him!
Jonnsin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tonkov lands a big elbow.
It looks like Per Jonnsin has been cut. Tonkov looking to finish Jonnsin with some ground and pound. This is bad for Jonnsin!
Jonnsin is rocked! Tonkov cracks Jonnsin with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miasu Tonkov!
