Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Haisuli Savuava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalle Kostonvaara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kostonvaara feints and then cracks Savuava's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Savuava down.
Kostonvaara is looking to land body kicks.
Kalle Kostonvaara seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Savuava shoots in and gets a takedown into Kostonvaara's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Savuava throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kostonvaara works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kostonvaara looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Savuava is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Savuava passes into half guard.
Savuava looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Kostonvaara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Savuava. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Savuava is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Savuava in particular looking to stall.

Savuava wants to pass the guard but Kostonvaara is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Kostonvaara pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Savuava will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Savuava is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Savuava tries to pull guard but Kostonvaara holds him up against the cage and eventually Savuava drops back down to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
