Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Angel Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joel Armia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Kavanagh and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Santiago's waist but Santiago gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Armia off to one side.
Santiago has closed the distance and engaged Armia in a clinch.
Santiago jumps guard and drags Armia to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Armia wants to pass the guard but Santiago is keeping the position.
Santiago wants to sweep here but Armia controlling him for the moment.
Santiago might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Joel Armia hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Santiago goes for a double leg but Armia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Armia continues to drive forward.

Armia is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Santiago is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Santiago has escaped and now he's on top!

Armia escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Santiago gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well Santiago has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
