Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Parker Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Allen kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pickle Surprise. Santiago comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You're Going Down kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Parker Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alex Santiago!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Santiago manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Allen closes the distance and clinches.
Allen avoiding damage as Santiago throws knees to the body.
Still in the clinch, Allen scores with a nice short uppercut.
Allen lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Santiago.
Santiago tries to work over Allen's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Santiago tries to land knees in the clinch but Allen avoids the damage to the body.
Allen lands with a left to the head.
Santiago misses with a body punch.
Santiago lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Allen or not.
Santiago pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Santiago lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Allen can't find room to land a body shot as Santiago controls the action.
Allen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Santiago tries to throw a body punch but Allen avoids it by throwing Santiago back against the cage.
Allen is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Santiago's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Allen clinches up with Santiago and pushes him back against the cage.

Santiago wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Santiago decides to pull guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Santiago is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Allen defends well.
Allen wants to stand but Santiago is controlling his posture from full guard.
Allen has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Santiago thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Allen wanted to stand there but Santiago had control of the position.

Santiago escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Allen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Santiago wants to sweep but no luck.

Allen wants to stand but Santiago is controlling his posture from full guard.
Santiago trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Allen is looking to stand up but Santiago won't let him.
Allen trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
Santiago working a defensive guard here.
Allen has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Santiago is proving hard to escape from.
Santiago wants to sweep here but Allen controlling him for the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Santiago throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Santiago looking for a triangle here. Allen is fighting it but it looks tight! Santiago pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Allen is tapping out - this one is all over!
