Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Silverhielm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrell Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silverhielm kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Theme Tune to Islam. Summers has chosen Last Chance as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyrell Summers! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silverhielm misses with an uppercut. Summers saw that one coming. Silverhielm has managed to clinch.
Silverhielm lands an elbow that stopped Summers in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Tyrell Summers has been cut. A nice glancing elbow lands by Silverhielm. Summers dodges an elbow strike from Silverhielm.
Summers takes an elbow to the forehead. Silverhielm throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Summers is working for takedown but Silverhielm is calmly controlling the position for now. Summers swings wildly with an uppercut but Silverhielm uses good head movement to avoid it. Silverhielm lands an elbow just above Summers 's eye. Silverhielm manages to break the clinch.
Silverhielm is looking to clinch. Summers takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Silverhielm tries to work over Summers's front leg with a kick but Summers checks it. Silverhielm takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Summers staying out of range there.

Silverhielm is looking to slow Summers down with leg kicks. Decent striking displayed by Silverhielm there. Summers feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silverhielm's calf. Silverhielm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Summers turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Silverhielm is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Silverhielm tries to close the distance and clinch but Summers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Silverhielm lands a jab to Summers's midsection. This has been an exciting period of action! Silverhielm jabs Summers to the body, keeping him at a distance. Silverhielm drives through and clinches with Summers against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summers jumps guard but Silverhielm turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Silverhielm breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Summers looks for a takedown but Silverhielm sprawls well. Silverhielm throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. A leg kick checked by Summers. Silverhielm tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Silverhielm lands a jab. Silverhielm is looking to slow Summers down with leg kicks. Summers lands with a cross. Summers dives in and grabs Silverhielm's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silverhielm pushes down on Summers's head and hops out. Summers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Silverhielm avoids it really well and circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Summers misses with a low kick. Summers misses with a leg kick and Silverhielm counters with a lovely shot to the body. Summers throws an overhand right that lands on Silverhielm's shoulder, as Silverhielm tries to avoid the shot. Silverhielm scores with a hook to the body. Summers takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Silverhielm misses with a wild body shot. Silverhielm wants to clinch up but Summers keeps it at a distance. Silverhielm tries to clinch up but Summers circles away and keeps his distance. Silverhielm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nice defenses there by Silverhielm. Summers takes a jab right on the kisser.

Pierre Silverhielm dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tyrell Summers's cut. That's time! Silverhielm's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Silverhielm cracks Summers with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Silverhielm buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Summers manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Silverhielm on his heels. He'll look to pass Silverhielm's guard now, I'm sure. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Silverhielm keeping full guard, as Summers tries to pass. Silverhielm keeping moving, preventing Summers from controlling successfully. Summers is pushing down on Silverhielm's leg trying to pass to half guard. Silverhielm is fighting to maintain full guard but Summers has managed to sneak the leg through. Silverhielm knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Summers on the ground. Silverhielm trying to control but Summers postures up.
Summers seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Silverhielm has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Summers is working away from the top position though. Summers trying to pass the guard but Silverhielm defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summers prevents Silverhielm from standing back up.
Summers controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A combination from Silverhielm does no damage. Summers is looking to chop away at Silverhielm's legs. Summers misses with an uppercut. Silverhielm saw that one coming. Silverhielm throws a jab when Summers was well out of range. Silverhielm misses with a kick to the body.

Silverhielm throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Summers misses with a hook. Silverhielm ducked under it nicely. Silverhielm works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silverhielm connects with a leg kick. Summers looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Summers throws a body punch but Silverhielm moves out of range.

Silverhielm manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. A looping hook to the body misses from Silverhielm. Summers does a little dance to reset his feet. Summers throws a leg kick and Silverhielm counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Silverhielm tries to clinch but Summers moves out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silverhielm swings for the body but Summers moves out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A left lands for Silverhielm. Silverhielm lands with a slapping head kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silverhielm takes the fight into the clinch. Silverhielm crunches a lovely knee into Summers's ribcage. Silverhielm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Silverhielm checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. A solid leg kick lands there for Summers.
Silverhielm throws a head kick that misses and Summers counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silverhielm's guard now. Summers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Summers looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summers sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Silverhielm's guard. Summers trying to pass the guard but Silverhielm defending well. Summers is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silverhielm is just riding it out for now. Summers eventually gives up the hold. Summers wants to take a breather but Silverhielm is having none of it. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Summers working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Summers is controlling the pace.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Summers seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silverhielm does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Silverhielm tries to kick Summers off but Summers keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Silverhielm wants to get back to full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Summers is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Tyrell Summers wasn't active enough on the ground. Silverhielm connects with a solid leg kick. Silverhielm looks to score with a jab to the body but Summers is just out of range. A head kick misses from Silverhielm. An inside leg kick from Silverhielm misses. Summers throws a hook but Silverhielm blocks it. Summers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silverhielm circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silverhielm is looking to slow Summers down with leg kicks. Silverhielm listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Silverhielm connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Summers throws a hook but Silverhielm blocks it. Summers takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Summers throws a lazy right hand but Silverhielm sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Silverhielm scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Silverhielm looks to land a right hand but Summers moved out of range. Pierre Silverhielm is winning the standup battle so far. Silverhielm turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Silverhielm throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Silverhielm fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Summers loads up on a big right hand but Silverhielm slips the punch. Summers shoots for a double leg takedown but Silverhielm sprawls well. He's pushed Summers's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Silverhielm scores with a jab to the jaw. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Silverhielm fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Summers manages to avoid it. Summers blocks a low kick nicely. A bone on bone clash there as Summers blocks the leg kick.
Silverhielm misses the jab. Silverhielm throws a leg kick that misses. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Summers has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Silverhielm. Silverhielm tries to close the distance and clinch but Summers swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Tyrell Summers has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Summers throws a quick inside leg kick.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pierre Silverhielm. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silverhielm, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
