Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sub Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kip Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris comes to the cage accompanied by Norris Man - When Your Time Is Up. Sub Norris has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sub Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kip Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Norris looks for a takedown but Morgan sprawls well.

Morgan clinches up against the cage.
Norris is working for takedown but Morgan is calmly controlling the position for now.
Norris avoids the elbow strike from Morgan, against the cage.
Morgan pushes Norris back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Norris takes a knee right on the jaw!
Norris has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Morgan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sub Norris. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Norris ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Norris no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Sub Norris just wasn't active enough.
Norris closes the distance and clinches up with Morgan, looking for a takedown. Norris pushes Morgan against the cage but Morgan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Morgan has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Norris shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Morgan sprawls well. Morgan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Norris gets slowly back to his feet.

Norris has Morgan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Morgan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Norris seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Morgan stands and throws Norris's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Norris is looking to regain half guard here but Morgan keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Norris is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Morgan's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Morgan's back!

Norris is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Morgan defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Morgan is trying to shake Norris off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Norris won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

Norris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Norris is looking for a kimura but Morgan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Norris to get the leverage.
Morgan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Morgan is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Norris is controlling him.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Morgan throws a series of strikes that have Norris backpedaling.

Norris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Norris has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Sub Norris wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Horrible takedown by Norris or perhaps it was just good defense by Morgan which made him look bad.

Norris jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Morgan walks away with a smile on his face. Norris gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Norris goes for a double leg but Morgan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Morgan continues to drive forward.
Morgan is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Morgan pushes off an throws an elbow but Norris leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Norris jumps guard and drags Morgan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Norris is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Morgan defends well.

Norris uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Morgan.
Norris throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Morgan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
That kick from Morgan tenderised Norris's leg. Norris is trying to keep his angry face on.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Norris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Morgan avoids it really well and circles away.
Morgan throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

And that's the end of the fight!
Kip Morgan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Morgan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
