Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Junior! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Joseph Jones and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Junior defends it nicely. Junior throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Miller takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A looping hook to the body misses from Junior. Miller does a little dance to reset his feet. Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.

Miller throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Miller shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Junior tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg. Junior wants to control but Miller is keeping busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Junior looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Junior wants to improve his position but Miller is controlling well.
Miller is thwarting Junior's attempts to control the position. Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next. Junior actively working from the bottom here. Miller sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Junior defending well though. Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next. Junior is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Miller pulls his head out easily.

Miller is keen to just control but Junior is a slippery customer. Miller is figuring out what he wants to do next. Junior is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Junior looking for subs from the bottom but Miller mounts him! Miller with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Miller trying to control but he's not successful this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Junior tries to get back to half guard but can't. Miller controlling his opponent. Miller prevents Junior from getting the reversal.

Miller is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Miller!
