Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricky Miller! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Gomes! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomes steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Miller. Miller throws a predictable looking body shot
and Gomes counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gomes wants to get back to his feet.
Miller is controlling Gomes's trapped leg to prevent Gomes from advancing to side control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Miller throws a hook but Gomes avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller swings for the body but Gomes moves out of range.
Miller scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Miller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miller dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gomes. That did some damage! Gomes ducks under a wild hook from Miller. Miller misses with a left hand and Gomes counters with a single leg into guard. Miller didn't expect that. Gomes stops Miller from standing up. Gomes is fighting to break Miller's control of his arms but Miller is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ricky Miller wasn't doing enough on the ground. Miller throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Gomes counters with a nice double leg into guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gomes is looking to stand up but Miller won't let him. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. A head kick misses from Miller. Miller misses with a left hand and Gomes counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Miller's guard now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miller wants to stand up but Gomes is controlling him. Gomes tries to stand but Miller is controlling from the bottom.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Carlos Gomes wasn't active enough on the ground. Miller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Miller is breathing heavily. Miller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gomes.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Miller misses the target. Nice defenses there by Gomes. Gomes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We're going to have a standup here because Ricky Miller wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Miller misses with a lunging right hand
and Gomes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Miller's guard. Carlos Gomes has got the better of the ground game so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Gomes is looking to stand up but Miller won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miller is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Miller decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gomes is trying to stand.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Carlos Gomes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Miller fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gomes manages to avoid it. Miller misses with a lunging right hand
and Gomes counters with a nice double leg into side control. Miller won't be happy with that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gomes has control of an arm but Miller manages to advance to Gomes's back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Gomes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Miller on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Miller tries to get out of the position. Miller is looking for a sweep. Gomes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Miller controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ricky Miller just wasn't active enough. Gomes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Miller. Carlos Gomes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

so Gomes counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gomes wants to stand but Miller is controlling his posture from full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Miller has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Gomes has passed into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gomes tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Carlos Gomes is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ricky Miller just wasn't active enough. Miller throws a head kick but Gomes moves out of range.
