Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yuki Takano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Marshall is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Yuki Takano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Marshall! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marshall manages to avoid it. Marshall takes a shot right to the bread basket. Marshall forces Takano back against the cage and clinches. Marshall keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Takano's efforts to push away. Marshall is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Takano avoiding damage.
Takano scores with an uppercut up the middle.
It looks like Ben Marshall has been cut. A frustrated look appears on Takano's face as he tries to break the clinch. Nice body punch from Takano - that landed with a thud.
Takano lands a left hand.
Marshall tightens his grip and picks Takano up, before dumping him to the ground. Takano manages to land in guard. Marshall throws a strike but Takano rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takano stays in close to Marshall's body and controls the position. Marshall throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall trying to control the position.
Takano got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marshall has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Takano has managed to get both his arms back between Marshall's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takano controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Yuki Takano. A left lands for Takano.
Marshall is rocked! Takano connects with a single shot there. Marshall is still on wobbly legs! Can Takano finish him? Jab by Takano. Marshall uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Takano. Takano fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Takano lands a brutal uppercut that launches Marshall off his feet! Marshall tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Yuki Takano! Yuki Takano very nearly forgot to thank Elite Canadian Threads amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
