PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Todd Flanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dexter Redshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Flanders might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jaw of Glass - Blondie. Redshaw has chosen ACDC - Skies on Fire as his entrance music. Dexter Redshaw has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flanders throws a solid leg kick but Redshaw takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Flanders.
The fighters circling - Flanders throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Flanders feints and then cracks Redshaw's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Redshaw down.
Flanders lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Redshaw misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Redshaw pivots, looking for a leg kick but Flanders is out of range and Redshaw settles back down.

Redshaw throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Flanders tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Redshaw is in Flanders's guard.

My spies in Sydney Elite Systems inform me that Redshaw has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

That was a close round but I would say that Todd Flanders will probably get the nod.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Redshaw softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Flanders is out cold! Redshaw jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
