Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between CJ Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnson comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac & Dr.Dre - California Love. Rivers has chosen Cyco Vision as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, CJ Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Stan Rivers! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rivers scores with a nice head shot. Johnson looks to land a combination. Rivers sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Johnson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Rivers throws a sloppy head kick and Johnson moves out of range easily. Rivers keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rivers takes a swing at Johnson's ribcage but misses. Rivers fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Johnson with a hook. Johnson throws a push kick but Rivers slaps the foot to one side. We've been informed that Rivers has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Rivers misses with a few strikes there.
Stan Rivers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rivers lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Rivers misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rivers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Johnson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rivers has managed to get both his arms back between Johnson's legs - danger averted. Rivers must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Rivers is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rivers.

That was a bit too telegraphed. Rivers lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Johnson backs up against the cage.

Rivers throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease. Rivers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Johnson tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rivers's legs. Johnson grinds an elbow into Rivers's temple. Johnson is looking to take a break and control but Rivers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rivers defending against the ground and pound.

CJ Johnson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Johnson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rivers is avoiding damage well.

Johnson is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Rivers jumps into side control! Johnson can't do much from the bottom here.
And that's the end of the fight! CJ Johnson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Johnson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
