The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibb fails with the takedown
and McGregor counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Tyrone Gibb has been cut.
Gibb misses with a shot to the body
and McGregor counters with a nice uppercut.
Gibb rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McGregor counters with a right hand to the body.
Gibb is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
McGregor circles away from the clinch attempt
and McGregor counters with a right hand to the body.
McGregor fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
McGregor fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gibb looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and McGregor counters with a one-two to the body.

McGregor moves into range and connects with a jab.
Gibb shoots in but McGregor avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Gibb dodges the punch combination from McGregor.
A shot to the body from Gibb misses
and McGregor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Gibb throws a right and a left that McGregor avoids nicely.
McGregor lands a two punch combo.
Gibb drives through with a takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gibb accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gibb stands up and waves to McGregor to follow him.
Gibb misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McGregor.
McGregor throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gibb.
Gibb misses with a takedown attempt - McGregor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Conor McGregor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrone Gibb.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gibb is defended easily by McGregor.
McGregor changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

McGregor looks to land a combination but Gibb avoids it well.
Gibb attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Oooooh!!! McGregor has knocked Gibb down with a huge combo! McGregor steps away and waves a wobbly Gibb back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Gibb is rocked!
That has opened up Tyrone Gibb's cut even more.
McGregor lands a big right hook! Gibb looks hurt but is still standing! McGregor lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Gibb falls down and McGregor dives in with a huge hammer fist! Gibb's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and McGregor runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
