Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between el viz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Connoly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). viz comes to the cage accompanied by Shadow Skanking. Connoly is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Break Stuff - Limp Bizkit. el viz looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connoly takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
A good leg kick by viz.
Connoly slips a jab and a cross from viz.
Connoly swats away the attempt to clinch by viz.
Connoly changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. viz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Connoly tries to clinch but viz moves away
and viz counters with a nice body kick.
viz doesn't manage to clinch there - Connoly circles away.
Connoly clinches with his opponent.
Connoly keeps control of viz as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Connoly jumps guard but viz stands there with Connoly around his waist. Connoly gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Connoly tries to pull guard but viz holds him up against the cage and eventually Connoly drops back down to his feet.
el viz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Connoly.

No joy there for viz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
viz is looking to clinch but Connoly is avoiding it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Connoly lands with a kick to the temple. viz shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
viz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Connoly tries to close the distance and clinch up but viz swats him away and circles back towards the center.
viz fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Connoly sprawls well initially but viz persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

viz stands and steps away. Connoly gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Connoly shoots in looking for a takedown. viz tries to sprawl out of it but Connoly keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. viz manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Connoly is pressed up against the cage. viz has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Connoly down to the mat. Connoly avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Connoly is looking to improve his position but viz isn't that keen on the idea.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters circle momentarily. viz darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

I would just about give that final round to Dan Connoly.
I think Connoly has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
