Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mitchel Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miroslav Skvec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miroslav Skvec will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mitchel Alexander! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miroslav Skvec! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexander gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Skvec tries to score a body lock takedown but Alexander shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Alexander jumps guard and drags Skvec to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Skvec stopping the sweep attempt from Alexander. Alexander is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Alexander keeping moving, preventing Skvec from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Alexander misses with the body kick and Skvec counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Skvec is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Alexander is stalling here.
Alexander turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Alexander throwing strikes but Skvec manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alexander is looking to regain half guard here but Skvec keeps moving and retains side control. You can see the frustration on Alexander's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Skvec really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alexander. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Skvec wants to stand but Alexander is controlling his arm. Alexander sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexander tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Alexander really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Alexander is trying to control but can't.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Skvec is trying to control. Alexander wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Skvec trying to control from Alexander's half guard. Alexander has other ideas though and has regained full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Skvec trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skvec wants to stand and escape but instead Alexander has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Skvec is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Alexander slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Alexander is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Skvec is trying to escape and Alexander transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Skvec is forced to tap! Nice work there by Alexander! Very nice indeed!
