Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Drew Jach!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Evans as Jach shoots in.
Evans shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jach defends it nicely.
Jach closes the distance but Evans moves to the side

and Evans counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Evans.

Evans decides to pull guard.
Evans seems keen to control Jach's posture.
Jach wants to stand and escape but instead Evans has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Jach wants to sweep but no luck.
Jach working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Evans.

Evans sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Evans in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

and Evans counters by moving into the clinch.
Jach drops down looking for an ankle pick but Evans pulls his leg out and moves away.

Jach shoots in looking for a takedown. Evans tries to sprawl out of it but Jach keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Evans manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Jach throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Evans stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Evans counters by moving into the clinch.

Jach tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Evans smiles and moves away.

Evans forces Jach back against the cage and clinches.

Evans has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jach avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Evans turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Evans manages to end up in side control.

Evans passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Jach!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Evans is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Jach has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Evans is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jach can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Evans sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Evans is landing with some decent strikes but Jach is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Evans has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Evans throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jach because Evans loaded up on that one.

Evans is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Jach has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Jach wants to control his opponent's hands but Evans gets his hands free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Evans looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jach is fending him off so far but Evans persists. Nope, Jach circles away and we're back to standing.
Jach shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Evans as he jumps to the side.

Jach tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jach shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Evans sprawls well. Evans wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jach gets slowly back to his feet.

Evans throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jach's waist but Jach gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Evans off to one side.

Jach is looking to clinch but Evans is avoiding it.
Jach shoots in and drives through. Evans sprawls well.
Jach defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Evans.
Jach dives in for a single leg takedown but Evans sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jach is trying to pull guard but Evans turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Evans is pressed up against the cage. Jach has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Evans down to the mat. Evans avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jach wants to control but Evans is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Evans is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jach doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Evans.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sean Evans.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Evans, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
