PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Efren Peters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Radman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Radman has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters lands a slapping body shot.

Radman shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Peters has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Radman is working away from the top position though.
Radman wants to stand up but Peters manages to regain full guard.
Radman advances position into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Peters tries to kick Radman off in order to stand up. Radman Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Radman is looking to take a break and control but Peters is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Radman decides to stand back up. Radman steps back and let's Peters get back to his feet.

Peters throws a strike aimed at the side of Radman's head but Radman avoids it well.

Peters looks to land a body kick but Radman moved away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Peters is defended easily by Radman.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Peters enables Radman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Peters manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Radman thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Radman wants to pass the guard but Peters is keeping the position.
Peters wants to hit a switch here but Radman passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Peters there!

Peters is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Radman looking to secure an arm triangle but Peters defends it well.
Peters is looking to improve his position but Radman isn't that keen on the idea.
Radman wants to take his opponent's back but Peters doesn't allow it.
Radman manages to capitalize on a mistake by Peters to take his back!

Peters looking very determined here, making life difficult for Radman.
Peters controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Radman tightening his grip on Peters, looking for the choke.
Radman trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Peters trying to control the action but Radman just sinks the hooks in.

Peters fending off the submission attempt from Radman.
Peters tries to roll but Radman sticks to his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Radman connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Peters to escape the position.

Peters just trying to survive but Radman is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
Radman wants to control but Peters is keeping busy.

Radman is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Peters has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Radman doesn't have the hooks in and Peters manages to turn into his guard.

Antonio Radman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Radman shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Peters but Peters pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Horrible takedown by Radman or perhaps it was just good defense by Peters which made him look bad.
Peters really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Radman closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Peters's guard.
Radman is looking to stand up but Peters won't let him.
