Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bray Wyatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Javier Pena!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Wyatt.
No joy there for Pena, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wyatt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pena paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wyatt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pena was well out of range. Poor timing from Wyatt.
Wyatt walks into a jab.
Pena avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Wyatt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wyatt gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pena.
Wyatt jabs Pena right on the nose. Pena blinks but takes it well.
Wyatt is looking to clinch.
Wyatt moves away from the strike by Pena.
Wyatt closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Wyatt lands a hook to the side of the head.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Wyatt.

Pena's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Wyatt misses with a short punch on the inside.
Wyatt scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Wyatt is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Pena is defending well for now.
Pena wants to get back to striking at distance but Wyatt won't allow it.
Our sources have told us that Wyatt has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Pena blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Pena wants to break the clinch but can't.
Wyatt makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Pena breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wyatt tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Pena defends well and Wyatt ends up having to push Pena into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Wyatt scores with a nice short uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pena has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Pena is pressed up against the cage. Wyatt has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Pena down to the mat. Pena avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Bray Wyatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wyatt lands a leg kick that knocks Pena off balance momentarily.
Pena throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Wyatt counters with a straight right hand.
Wyatt lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pena at a distance.
Pena ducks under a wild hook from Wyatt.
Wyatt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pena moves out of range as Wyatt throws a body kick.
Wyatt scores with a shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by Wyatt.

Wyatt moves into range and connects with a jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pena blocks a head kick by Wyatt.
Wyatt shoots in looking for a takedown. Pena tries to sprawl out of it but Wyatt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pena manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bray Wyatt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wyatt.
Pena misses with a hook. Wyatt ducked under it nicely.
Wyatt tries to close the distance and clinch but Pena swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Wyatt looks to throw the jab but Pena is out of range.
Pena takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Pena blocks a low kick nicely.
Wyatt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pena sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wyatt somewhat.
Pena fails to land with a series of punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wyatt misses with a wild body shot.
Pena lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bray Wyatt dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Wyatt throws a shot from downtown. Pena moves away and avoids it.
Wyatt throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Pena lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Wyatt is rocked!
Wyatt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Oh Wyatt is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pena is pawing at Wyatt, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Wyatt's nose. Wyatt is badly hurt! Pena pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Wyatt tries desperately to hold on but Pena is relentless in his assault! As Wyatt receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Pena away and this one is in the books!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Javier Pena!
Javier Pena spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
