Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Declan McCready (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Roshan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roshan is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Cranberries-Zombie. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Declan McCready! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
34 - 17 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Damian Roshan! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roshan checks a leg kick. Roshan thumps McCready with a low kick. Nice takedown defense from McCready. No joy for Roshan on that attempt. McCready misses with a right hand and Roshan counters with a takedown into side control. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Roshan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. McCready manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. McCready won't allow Roshan to pass to mount. Roshan controlling the action here. It looks like Roshan might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Damian Roshan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Roshan is defended easily by McCready.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roshan shoots for a double leg takedown but McCready sprawls well. He's pushed Roshan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Declan McCready has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Roshan. McCready throws a hook but Roshan avoids it easily. McCready will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
A low kick from McCready is predictable there and Roshan counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. McCready tries to clinch but Roshan moves out of range. Declan McCready is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. McCready swats away the attempt to clinch by Roshan. Roshan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. McCready misses with a body shot.
Roshan scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCready tries to get back to half guard but can't. McCready gets back to half guard. Roshan is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McCready is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Damian Roshan dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roshan. Roshan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Roshan closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McCready did well to prevent Roshan getting side control. Roshan content to control rather than advance. Roshan is thwarting McCready's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. McCready leaves Roshan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Roshan shoots for a double leg takedown but McCready sprawls well. He's pushed Roshan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Declan McCready has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Roshan. A head kick by Roshan misses and McCready counters with a single leg into guard. Roshan didn't expect that. Roshan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. McCready is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Roshan. McCready stands up and we're back to a striking position. A good leg kick by McCready.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McCready connects with a solid leg kick. McCready tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Roshan shoots for a double leg takedown but McCready sprawls well. He's pushed Roshan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. McCready is looking to slow Roshan down with leg kicks. Roshan rushes McCready and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Roshan misses with some punches.
The referee calls for McCready to work.
McCready misses with a short punch on the inside. McCready makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. McCready struggles to land a body shot inside as Roshan controls his hands.
Roshan is trying to break the clinch but McCready has him pressed against the cage. McCready prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McCready landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Roshan is breathing heavily. Nice body punch from McCready. McCready lands a shoulder strike. McCready lands a body shot in the clinch.
McCready goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Roshan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McCready is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Roshan avoids a wild elbow strike from McCready. This has been an exciting period of action! McCready's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McCready throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Roshan shoots in but McCready avoids the takedown attempt easily. Roshan tries to score a power double leg takedown but McCready sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Roshan somewhat. Roshan on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McCready tries a head kick but it misses.
Damian Roshan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Roshan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McCready counters with a single leg into guard. Roshan didn't expect that. Roshan is working an open guard so McCready takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Roshan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. McCready defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Roshan. Roshan gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Roshan has a takedown stuffed. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! An inside leg kick lands from McCready. Roshan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McCready. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Declan McCready dominated that second round. That's time! McCready's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
McCready buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McCready lands a slapping body shot.
Roshan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. McCready clinches with his opponent.
Roshan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Roshan blocking some punches.
Roshan is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables McCready to keep the fight standing. Roshan's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Roshan can't get the takedown.
McCready lands a hook to the side of the head. McCready misses with a body punch.
McCready doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
McCready lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Roshan or not. Roshan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. McCready scores with a shot to the side of Roshan's head. McCready lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Roshan backwards. McCready lands a body punch in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. With the fighters clinched against the cage, McCready creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A right hook to the body lands for McCready.
McCready misses with a shot to the kidneys.
McCready fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Roshan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McCready avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. McCready softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. McCready lands an uppercut. McCready working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Roshan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A quick uppercut on the inside from McCready. A nice left hand lands by McCready.
McCready gets through Roshan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Roshan looking for a takedown. McCready lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCready throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Roshans head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McCready lands a body punch. McCready lands a right hand.
Roshan is rocked! A short uppercut from McCready. Roshan is still on wobbly legs! Can McCready finish him? A body shot lands from McCready.
McCready lands a right hand. Good body shot from McCready.
McCready is working Roshan over against the cage. McCready effectively controlling the action here. Roshan on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
McCready gets through Roshan's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. McCready lands a right hand. Roshan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McCready walks away with a smile on his face. Roshan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. McCready digs a good body shot into Roshan's ribs. McCready connects with a solid leg kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. A short right hand to the side of the head by McCready. Roshan is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but McCready is defending well. McCready misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Roshan.
McCready lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Roshan to his knees! McCready keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
