Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bryce Schmidt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nikolay Golikipov!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schmidt rushes Golikipov and presses him up against the cage.
Schmidt displaying some good clinch control by pressing Golikipov up against the cage.
Schmidt has Golikipov pressed against the cage, preventing Golikipov from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Schmidt keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Golikipov's efforts to push away.
Schmidt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Schmidt closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Schmidt lands in his opponent's guard.
Golikipov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Schmidt gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Golikipov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Golikipov scores with a hook to the body. Schmidt takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Golikipov gets tackled into the cage by Schmidt. Schmidt maintains the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Schmidt pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Golikipov misses with an uppercut
and Schmidt holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Golikipov is trying to break the clinch but Schmidt is controlling him.
Schmidt has Golikipov pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Schmidt pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Golikipov tumbling to the mat - Schmidt dives into Golikipov's guard.
Schmidt content to stall in guard here.
Schmidt forces his way into half guard.
Schmidt seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Schmidt maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Golikipov could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Schmidt has cracked it and Golikipov is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Schmidt!
