Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Shannon Bailey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 1, fighting out of London, Mike Tyrell!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bailey throws a series of punches but Tyrell moves out of range.
Tyrell throws a combination. Bailey tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Bailey fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bailey tries to close the distance and clinch but Tyrell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Bailey checks a leg kick.

Bailey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Tyrell wants to stand but Bailey is controlling the position.
Bailey stopping the sweep attempt from Tyrell.
Bailey tries to free his leg and advance position but Tyrell is retaining full guard.
Bailey is working hard here to advance position.
Bailey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Bailey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tyrell's guard.

Bailey is looking to advance position but Tyrell won't allow it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tyrell misses with a head kick.

Tyrell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bailey looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tyrell in side control, throwing shots but Bailey defends.
Bailey tries to control but Tyrell manages to take his back.

Tyrell working for a choke but Bailey is defending well.

Bailey breaks Tyrell's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Bailey slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Tyrell is looking to stand up but Bailey isn't so interested in that idea.
Tyrell wants to sweep here but Bailey controlling him for the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tyrell thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Bailey trying to control but Tyrell is working from the bottom.
Tyrell looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Bailey looking to pass the guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Bailey drives through with a takedown into guard.
Tyrell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Tyrell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Tyrell stands up and beckons Bailey to join him on the feet.

Shannon Bailey dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Bailey feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tyrell is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Tyrell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bailey!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tyrell has the hooks in. Bailey is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bailey grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Tyrell is not going to allow Bailey to sit and survive in this position.
Tyrell scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Good control from Tyrell.

Bailey is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Bailey trying to control the action but Tyrell just sinks the hooks in.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tyrell gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Tyrell lands punches and elbows.

Tyrell looking for the RNC.
Even with his hooks in, Tyrell manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Tyrell is not going to allow Bailey to sit and survive in this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tyrell has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bailey's body.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Tyrell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Tyrell clinches but Bailey breaks the clinch
and Bailey counters with a two punch combo.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tyrell.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bailey looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Tyrell counters by moving into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tyrell is pulling down on Bailey's head. It's preventing any offense from Bailey, at least for the moment.

Bailey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Tyrell wants to get back to his feet but Bailey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

and Bailey counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tyrell won't be happy with that.
Tyrell is looking to regain half guard here but Bailey keeps moving and retains side control.
Shannon Bailey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tyrell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bailey wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bailey stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Shannon Bailey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Tyrell is squirming around, avoiding Bailey's attempts to control the action.
Tyrell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Tyrell is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Bailey is staying active.
Bailey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tyrell is looking to escape.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
