The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamerson looking to score a takedown here. Spiller is defending well but Hamerson drives through and ends up in Spiller's guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kai Spiller hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Spiller throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Spiller changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hamerson tries to avoid it but Spiller manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hamerson to the ground. Hamerson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hamerson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spiller sprawls well. Spiller wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hamerson gets slowly back to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Spiller or perhaps it was just good defense by Hamerson which made him look bad.
